Mark Birmingham

Dr. Mark Birmingham is originally from small-town Kansas. After graduating from Pittsburg State University (KS) with honors in Spanish, he moved to Chicago without a solid plan other than doing 'something in healthcare'. After answering an ad in the classified section of the Chicago Tribune he was offered a job as a medical assistant for a group of podiatrists, still not knowing what a podiatric surgeon did. The rest is history.

 

After graduating medical school in Chicago, Dr. Birmingham enjoyed three years as a surgical resident at the Highlands-Presbyterian/St. Lukes surgical residency program. He has spent the last 15 years in private practice: initially back in Chicago as well as currently in Boulder, Colorado at the Boulder Medical Center. 

 

Dr. Birmingham and his family live in Longmont, Colorado where he can be found most days. If he's not at home, he is typically running, fly fishing or camping in an attempt to lose cell phone coverage.
